Special Achievement:
Though the main aim of the organisation is to alleviate the condition of the stray and distressed dogs and cats but we have never turned back to rescue and to fight for the cause of the wild lives and always stand for the cause of their well being. We have rescued number of monkeys, birds, civet cats, reptiles etc. which stray into the locality and get injured in the process. The organisation rescues them, treat them and supports them with the proper authentication of appropriate authorities. The organisation not only extends its hand of help for treatment only but also works for the cause of all animal welfare activities. In the process we advocated for banning of the primitive, cruel and barbaric methods of catching stray dogs by means of iron tongs and forceps. The process is not only inhuman but sometimes fatal also. We advocated strongly for use of “Lasso”, made with soft loops. This process is much less painful and a real humane method and adopted in most of the developed countries. We presented 4 nos. lasso to the authorities of Kolkata Municipal corporation and organised training sessions. At last, with the constant persuasion from us K.M.C. issued a memo banning the use of iron tongs and forceps and introducing the use of lasso in place.
