Who We Are

Love n Care for Animals is a voluntary animal welfare organization which works for stray dogs, cats, abandoned cows, horses, neglected birds like crows, kites, vultures etc. This is a Kolkata based organization whose registered address is 80/2C, Sarsuna Main Road, Kolkata – 700 061 and now is extending its hands vastly for whole Kolkata district, South 24 Parganas & North 24 Parganas & if necessary for any place in West Bengal.

History

Love N Care for Animals is a non-governmental charitable organization which came into existence back in July 7,1997 for expressing the purpose of alleviating the suffering of stray and distressed animals in the city of Kolkata and its surroundings. The administrative head quarter is at 80/2C, Sarsuna Main Road, Kolkata – 700 061 under the P.S. Behala.

The organisation Love’N Care For Animals of 80/2C Sarsuna Main Road, Kolkata – 700061 was formed in the year 1997. This is a Charitable, non-government, animal welfare organisation. The very motto of the organisation is to alleviate the condition of stray destitute and distressed animals vis-a-vis to serve for the people and environment as a whole. The Organisation has started its journey in a rented premises at Vasa, Dist. South 24 Parganas, within a very short period of time the relentless effort of the organisation reached to a greater section of people and local demand increased for welfare activities on stray dogs and cats. The rented premises became insufficient for the increased work load, The executive body of the organisation had decided to build on animal hospital of its own for which a land of about 1 bigha was purchased at Jagannathpur, P.S. – Maheshtala, Dist. – South 24 Parganas. Govt. of India sanctioned an amount of Rs. 16,00,000/- for building the hospital. A three-storied fully equipped hospital and two no. annex building were built and today it is the main support place for the distressed, destitute, homeless, ownerless dogs and cats of Kolkata city.

Service Vehicles

There are three service vehicles for facilitating the transportation and treatment of sick and injured animals, among these vehicles one is used as Mobile Clini. Among the rest two vehicles one is used as small animals Ambulance and other is used for larger animals.
